Mission

The mission of the organization is to serve, unite, and celebrate the Filipino community in Charlottesville, Virginia and the surrounding area.

  • Provide help, resources, and opportunities that benefit the community.
  • Create a sense of belonging by connecting Filipinos and friends of Filipino culture.
  • Share and promote Filipino heritage through events, education, and cultural experiences.

Vision

Our vision is to one day establish a Filipino Community Center in Charlottesville and make Central Virginia a cultural hub for Filipinos. A place where our community can gather, connect, and grow. A place to meet each other in celebration. A place to learn about our heritage, our history, our language, our tradition. A place where we teach our culture with pride, so that our children, and our grandchildren, will know exactly where they come from. A place where they can say: ‘I am proud to be Filipino.
